Instructions

  • Pour 1/2 cup boiling water on de-seeded dates and baking soda, and keep the solution for at least 30 minutes.
  • Beat margarine, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract and eggs together until fluffy.
  • Mix oat flour, chopped walnut, cinnamon powder, and baking powder.
  • Combine flour and date mixture to the beaten eggs.
  • Mix with a wooden spoon, do not beat the mixture.
  • Grease and flour a cake tin and scrap the cake mixture into the tin.
  • Bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 F or until toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool before cutting.
