Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit, grease and dust a cake tin with oil and flour.
  • Dry roast the walnuts in a pan for about 1-2 minutes and chop them.
  • In a big bowl add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, nutmeg and salt, mix to combine all the ingredients.
  • In another bowl whisk together egg and brown sugar until mix, add yogurt, oil, coffee powder and orange zest. Whisk until blended.
  • Mix the dry ingredients with the egg mixture, mix just to blend, add walnuts and stir the mixture.
  • Transfer the mixture into the prepared cake tin and bake for 30-40 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  • When the cake is baked, transfer it to wire rack, let it stand for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve warm or room temperature.
