Ingredients
- 4 tbsp, chopped Basil, fresh
- 0.52 cup Cheese, parmesan, dry grated, reduced fat
- 10 slice, medium Bread, french or vienna (includes sourdough)
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 tbsp chopped Onions, raw
- 4 leaf Radicchio, raw
- 2 tablespoon Oil, olive, salad or cooking
- 4 oz Cheese, mozzarella, whole milk
- 3 4 oz Ground chicken breast
- 1.52 1/2 cup Marinara Sauce, low-fat
Instructions
- Add parmesan and diced bread in a processor and blend to form fine crumbs.
- Transfer the crumbs into a bowl. Mix 2 tbsp minced basil in it.
- Take another 2 tbsp basil and mix it with marinara in a saucepan.
- Into a large bowl, add 1 ½ tbsp sauce, a little salt, onion, ½ tbsp oil and chicken. Season it with a little pepper and blend.
- Form 1/2-inch-thick patties from the mixture and coat it with crumbs.
- Heat 1 ½ tbsp oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties until they turn crusty.
- Flip the patties and continue cooking the side with cheese on top of it.
- Cover the patties and continue cooking for a minute.
- Just before serving, assemble burgers with bread, warm marinara, basil leaves and radicchio.
