Ingredients
- 1 cup Chickpeas (garbanzo beans, bengal gram), mature seeds, cooked, boiled, without salt
- 1 leaf Chard, swiss, raw
- 1 cup SWANSON BROTH, Vegetable Broth
- 1 tbsp chopped Onions, raw
- 1 tbsp chopped Garlic
- 1 tsp Spices, turmeric, ground
- 6 gram Ground cumin
- 1 sprigs Parsley, fresh
- 0.5 cup Tomatoes, crushed, canned
- 1 fl oz Lemon juice, raw
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 tbsp, ground Spices, pepper, black
Instructions
- Boil the chickpeas in water until tender or use cooked chickpeas for the recipe.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook onion until translucent.
- Add garlic, parsley, cumin, turmeric and tomato stir and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add Swiss chard, chickpeas and broth to the skillet. Bring to a boil and keep simmering for 15 minutes while stirring occasionally.
- Add salt, lemon juice and zest, mix well and remove from the heat.
- Serve hot.
