I am glad to share this recipe with all of you; this easy to assemble burger is stuffed with a patty that is made with ground beef and Moroccan seasoning. Sliced onion, tomato and beetroot with some greens are added to the burger to provide a variety of nutrients. Use whole grain burger buns as they are rich in fiber and complex carbohydrates. This awesome recipe is high in protein and takes little time to cook.

Ingredients
- 1 serving Beef, ground, 95% lean meat / 5% fat, raw
- 1 medium Egg, whole, raw, fresh
- 1 tbsp chopped Onions, raw
- 1 tbsp Gourmet Garden Moroccan Seasoning
- 1 oz Bread crumbs, dry, grated, plain
- 1 slice, thick/large Tomatoes, red, ripe, raw, year round average
- 1 slice, medium Onions, raw
- 1 wedge yields Lemon juice, raw
- 1 slice, chopped, cubed, whole Beet, Beetroot, Raw
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 tbsp, ground Spices, pepper, black
- 1 tsp Oil, olive, salad or cooking
- 1 serving Hamburger buns, average size
- 1 leaf inner Lettuce, green leaf, raw
Instructions
- Combine chopped onions, bread crumbs, ground beef, morocco seasoning, salt, pepper and egg in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Prepare 2 large patties with the mixture and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
- Heat a non stick pan over medium heat and spray oil. Cook the patties from both sides until golden brown. It may take 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove the patties from the pan and keep warm.
- To prepare the vegetables; place lettuce leaves in a bowl and add two thick slices of onion, tomato, beetroot, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Toss well.
- To assemble the burger, cut the bun in half and place salad leaves at the base of the bun. Then add onion, tomato and beetroot slices.
- Top with the beef patty and cover with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately.
