Bell peppers make a great accompaniment for grilled and sliced steak in this recipe. This quickly sautéed vegetable has great health benefits. Besides being low in fat, it is also a good source of vitamin C, E and K. It contains foliate acid and fiber which is crucial for the absorption of nutrients. Grilled steak provides the power of protein for muscle growth. This dish is great to serve with some whole wheat bread.

Ingredients
- 1 steak Beef, loin, top sirloin cap steak, boneless, separable lean and fat, trimmed to 1/8" fat, select, raw
- 1 unit Bell pepper (green/yellow/red)
- 1 3 pieces, 20grams pobalano pepper, raw, fresh, uncooked
- 1 tsp Soy sauce made from soy (tamari)
- 1 tsp Vinegar, balsamic
- 1 tablespoon Oil, olive, salad or cooking
- 1 packet Honey
- 1 tbsp Spices, rosemary, dried
- 1 tbsp chopped Shallots, raw
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 tbsp, ground Spices, pepper, black
- 0.5 unit Onion, red, raw
Instructions
- Combine half a tablespoon of oil, soy sauce, honey, shallots, rosemary, salt and pepper in a bowl. Add steak and coat well in the marinade. Set aside for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile prepare the peppers. Heat the remaining oil in a non-stick pan. Add bell peppers and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add the poblano chili, onion, salt and pepper. Stir and cook until soft.
- Add the rosemary and vinegar. Cook until the vinegar is absorbed. Remove from the heat.
- Heat the grill pan over medium heat and spray some oil. Remove steak from the marinade and place in the grill pan.
- Cook for 5 minutes per side. Or cook until done to your likings.
- When done, remove from the heat. Cover with aluminum foil and let it rest for 5 minutes. Then slice the steak thinly.
- Arrange the peppers in a plate and top with steak slices.
- Serve immediately along with toasted bread.
