Ingredients
- 16 serving Hamburger buns, average size
- 4 cup, chopped Cabbage, red, raw
- 0.25 tsp Spices, pepper, red or cayenne
- 0.5 cup Ketchup
- 0.75 cup Vinegar, cider
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 dash Spices, pepper, black
- 16 piece Chicken thigh, skin removed
- 3 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 3 tsp Dijon Mustard
- 5.5 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine salt, black pepper, 2 tbsp brown sugar, mustard and paprika. Add chicken and toss to coat uniformly. Keep it aside for an hour to marinate.
- In a bowl, mix salt, black pepper, remaining brown sugar, red pepper, ketchup and vinegar. Whisk the ingredients gently. Set aside ΒΌ cup of this sauce and pour the remaining sauce over chicken. Cover and cook for an hour.
- Toss cabbage with reserved sauce. Cover and set it aside. Transfer chicken on to a cutting board and allow it to cool slightly.
- Discard bones from chicken and shred meat. Transfer the shredded meat to a bowl. Now pour sauce over meat.
- Divide meat equally between buns and top it with cabbage mixture and bun tops.
- Serve hot.
