Ingredients
- 6 serving Hamburger buns, average size
- 1 1 tsp Minced garlic
- 2 1 tbsp canola mayonnaise
- 0.3 container Yogurt, Greek, plain, nonfat
- 0.75 cup, chopped Cabbage, raw
- 0.75 cup, chopped Cabbage, red, raw
- 2 tsp Oil, olive, salad or cooking
- 0.25 cup Vinegar, cider
- 0.25 cup Tomatoes, crushed, canned
- 0.1 tbsp Ground cumin
- 0.5 tsp Spices, paprika
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 dash Spices, pepper, black
- 0.5 tsp Spices, chili powder
- 1 bulb Fennel, bulb, raw
- 2 cup, sliced Onions, raw
- 2 chop Pork, fresh, blade, (chops), boneless, separable lean and fat, cooked, broiled
Instructions
- Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat. Add pork to pan and cook for at least a couple of minutes. Now add fennel and onion and cover the pan. Allow it to cook for another 15 minutes whilst stirring it frequently.
- Add salt, black pepper, cumin, paprika and chili powder and continue to cook for a minute. Add ¼ cup vinegar and tomatoes to pan. Now reduce the heat a bit. Remove the cover and continue to cook for another 15 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine 2 tsp vinegar and olive oil. Add red and green cabbage and toss gently to coat.
- Take another bowl and combine garlic, mayonnaise and yogurt. Spread half of this mixture on to each bun half. Now top half bun with ¼ cup cabbage mixture, ¼ cup fennel mixture and top half of bun.
- Serve immediately.
