Ingredients
- 6 1 cup challah bread
- 8 piece Egg white beaten
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 dash Spices, pepper, black
- 4 oz Cheese, gouda
- 1 1 cup heavy cream
- 1.25 cup Cheese, parmesan, dry grated, reduced fat
- 4 tbsp Cream, half and half, fat free
- 1 tsp Spices, marjoram, dried
- 1 tsp, leaves Spices, thyme, dried
- 8 slice Pork, cured, bacon, pre-sliced, cooked, pan-fried
- 2 cloves Garlic, raw
- 2 leek Leeks, (bulb and lower leaf-portion), raw
- 2 slice Plain Butter
Instructions
- Set the oven temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit / 175 degrees Celsius.
- In a large bowl, mix salt, black pepper, heavy cream, fat free cream, egg white, marjoram and thyme.
- Add bread cubes, Parmesan and Gouda cheeses.
- Melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Add leeks in the pan and cook until they are tender. Add garlic, and continue to cook for a minute.
- Add bacon and the leek mixture into egg mixture. Pour this mixture into a baking tray. Sprinkle it with a little Parmesan and Gouda cheeses.
- Bake the mixture at the set temperature until it is set. Keep it aside for a couple of minutes before serving.
