Ingredients
- 0.99 cup, quartered or chopped Apples, raw, with skin
- 0.99 tsp Spices, pumpkin pie spice
- 0.51 1 cup Water
- 2.01 1 packet Stevia, SweetLeaf Stevia (packet)
- 0.99 unit Oat flour, partially debranned
- 0.24 tsp Leavening agents, baking powder, low-sodium
- 0.24 tsp Spices, ginger, ground
- 2.01 scoop About Time Cinnamon Swirl Whey Protein
- 0.51 1 cup Almond Milk, Original, Unsweetened
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron to a medium heat
- In a small microwave safe bowl combine apples, apple spice, stevia, and water
- Microwave for 2 minutes until apples are semi-soft and set aside
- In a large mixing bowl combine oat flour, baking powder, ginger, and protein powder and mix until blended
- Gradually add in the unsweetened almond milk and apple mixture to flour until well blended
- Divide batter evenly among two waffles and bake until golden brown
- While waffles are cooking to prepare toppings
- In a small microwave safe dish combine Greek yogurt, agave nectar, apple pie spice, stevia, and vanilla extract heat in microwave for approx. 20 seconds set aside
- In a medium sauce pan melt coconut butter and add sliced apples sauteĢ each apple slice until golden brown on each side
- Top each waffle with 4 apple slices and half of the yogurt mixture
- Garnish with cinnamon and serve warm
