Ingredients
- 4 ounce Whole Wheat Pasta
- 6 ounce Chicken, broilers or fryers, breast, skinless, boneless, meat only, enhanced, raw
- 25 leaves Basil, fresh
- 1 1 tsp Minced garlic
- 0.5 ounce Water
- 1 oz Nuts, pine nuts, dried
- 1 tablespoon Oil, olive, salad or cooking
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 dash Spices, pepper, black
- 2 tbsp Cheese, parmesan, dry grated, reduced fat
Instructions
- Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil, cook the pasta according to the package directions.
- In a large bowl, mix the basil, garlic, water, pine nuts, and oil.
- Turn on the stove to medium heat and coat your pan or skillet with cooking spray.
- Begin to cook the chicken in the pan. Once almost cooked, reduce the heat and stir in your salt, pepper, pesto, and Parmesan. Cook until chicken is no longer pink on inside, stir into cooked pasta.
