I like to be creative with food; some ingredients are really versatile and allow us to be experimental with them. Mushrooms are one of them; they are perfect pairing option for eggs, vegetables and meat. Mushrooms are natural, and loaded with many distinct nutrient qualities. When they pair with green leafy vegetables, just like here in my recipe, they can do wonder for your muscle building diet. I am going to use Portobello mushrooms here for making this recipe as they are low in fat and calorie, potassium rich and full of vitamin āDā& āB6ā.

Ingredients
- 4 leaf, large Lettuce, iceberg (includes crisphead types), raw
- 1 mushroom chopped Portobello Mushroom, fresh, raw
- 1 medium Onions, raw
- 1 pepper Peppers, jalapeno, raw
- 1 tbsp, leaves Spices, thyme, dried
- 1 tsp, ground Spices, oregano, dried
- 1 small Olives, ripe, canned (small-extra large)
- 1 slice, medium Tomatoes, red, ripe, raw, year round average
- 1 tsp Oil, olive, salad or cooking
- 1 tsp Spices, ginger, ground
- 1 wedge yields Lemon juice, raw
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 tsp Spices, nutmeg, ground
- 1 tsp Spices, cinnamon, ground
Instructions
- Take 2 large lettuce leaves and reserve for later use.
- Roughly chop four lettuce leaves for the salad.
- Heat some olive oil in a pan and saute onion; add chopped jalapeno, garlic and mushrooms.
- Saute for 2-3 minutes, add herbs and spices and cook until mushroom become soft.
- Arrange large lettuce leaves in a serving tray, fill it with mushroom filling and top it with lettuce and tomato salad.
- Sprinkle some lemon juice on it, lettuce wrap with mushroom is ready to serve.
