These nice and moist patties (kabab) made by chickpeas as a main ingredient are both scrumptious and healthy. These patties can be used as a burger filling or served independently with sauce. Either way these patties are good to eat.
Chickpeas are renowned source of vegetarian protein. I also add spinach in these patties to increase iron content. They have high amount of fiber as well, thus making these patties quite fulfilling and nutritious. Include these patties in your breakfast for getting the required dose of protein that is necessary for your morning workout routine. Use these patties as a filling with brown burger buns to make a wholesome take out meal for lunch. Actually they are perfect for any occasion be it breakfast, snacks of lunch time.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Chickpeas (garbanzo beans, bengal gram), mature seeds, cooked, boiled, without salt
- 1 cup Spinach, raw
- 1 oz Bread crumbs, dry, grated, plain
- 1 tsp Spices, chili powder
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 gram Oil, olive, salad or cooking
Instructions
- Mash the chickpeas; add chopped spinach, red chili powder, bread crumbs and salt.
- Mix and mash all the ingredients evenly.
- If the mixture is too wet use more bread crumbs to combine the mixture.
- Divide the mixture into equal portion and make round patties.
- Heat a non stick pan on medium heat, spray some olive oil and fry the patties until golden brown.
- Flip the patties and cook from the other side as well.
- Once done, remove from the heat and serve with salad and sauce.
