Ingredients
- 4 oz Turkey, whole, enhanced, meat only, roasted
- 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Vinegar, cider
- 0.25 cup Orange juice, chilled, includes from concentrate, fortified with calcium
- 2 tbsp chopped Onions, raw
- 0.5 tsp Spices, ginger, ground
- 0.5 unit Multi grain rice, cooked
- 1 large Tangerines, (mandarin oranges), raw
- 1 tbsp Onions, young green, tops only
- 1 tsp Soy sauce made from soy (tamari)
- 34 gram Bell pepper (green/yellow/red)
- 0.25 clove Garlic, raw
Instructions
- First cook rice according to the directions
- Cook the turkey by broiling it, grilling it or pan-frying it. Then add a dash of pepper and salt.
- Cook the turkey for at least 15 minutes
- Place a saucepan over medium heat and cook green pepper, garlic, onions, ginger, orange juice, sugar and vinegar in it for about 8 minutes
- Take a small bowl. Add soy sauce and cornstarch in it and whisk for a few seconds until the mixture thickens considerably.
- Add green onions into the above mixture and stir for a few seconds. Then remove it from heat
- You can serve this dish with rice and mandarin slices
