Ingredients
- 249.92 gram Wheat flour, whole-grain, soft wheat
- 1.1 tsp Leavening agents, baking powder, low-sodium
- 0.22 tsp Salt, table
- 1.1 large Egg, whole, raw, fresh
- 0.66 cup Sugars, granulated
- 1.98 large Egg, white, raw, fresh
- 1.1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1.54 tbsp Oil, vegetable, Natreon canola, high stability, non trans, high oleic (70%)
- 1.1 piece Orange Zest
- 0.44 cup Cranberries, dried, sweetened
Instructions
- Set the oven temperature to 350 degree F
- Take a medium bowl and combine baking powder, salt and flour.
- Then take a large bowl and beat vanilla, oil, egg whites, egg and sugar
- Add the above flour mixture to the egg mixture and sugar. Stir well and then mix orange zest and dried cranberries.
- Transfer the dough on to a flat surface. Then divide it into two halves and form 2 logs of 8 inches each.
- Take a baking sheet and place the dough logs over it. Then bake them until they become slightly firm
- Remove the dough from oven and allow it to cool for at least 15 minutes.
- In the meantime reduce the oven temperature to 300 degrees F
- Once the dough logs are cooled, take a knife and cut the dough diagonally into slices of ½ inches.
- Place all the slices on the baking tray and continue baking them for at least 10 minutes on either side.
- Remove the slices from oven and allow them to cool over a wire rack.
