And this one is to satisfy my sweet, I don’t use any sweetener in this recipe. Instead I use natural sweetness of dates to get the mild sweet flavor in this recipe. This recipe is loaded with good fatty acids and high protein nuts. Dates are a rich source of calcium, Phosphorous, minerals and fruit sugar.
I use oat flour for making this cake just to make it fit in my Marcos, though all purpose flour should be used for better fluffy cake. But don’t worry it still come out very moist and delicious and taste so good. A very good guilt free cake recipe to include in your breakfast or snacks time.

Ingredients
- 1 date, pitted Dates, medjool
- 1 unit Oat flour, partially debranned
- 1 tablespoon Margarine-like spread, SMART BALANCE Regular Buttery Spread with flax oil
- 1 large Egg, whole, raw, fresh
- 1 cup, in shell, edible yield Nuts, walnuts, english
- 1 tsp Leavening agents, baking powder, low-sodium
- 1 tsp Leavening agents, baking soda
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 tsp Spices, cinnamon, ground
- 10 gram Yogurt, Greek, plain, nonfat
- 2 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
Instructions
- Pour 1/2 cup boiling water on de-seeded dates and baking soda, and keep the solution for at least 30 minutes.
- Beat margarine, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract and eggs together until fluffy.
- Mix oat flour, chopped walnut, cinnamon powder, and baking powder.
- Combine flour and date mixture to the beaten eggs.
- Mix with a wooden spoon, do not beat the mixture.
- Grease and flour a cake tin and scrap the cake mixture into the tin.
- Bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 F or until toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool before cutting.
