Ingredients
- 1 serving Beef, ground, 95% lean meat / 5% fat, raw
- 1 tbsp chopped Onions, raw
- 1 medium Carrots, raw
- 1 stalk, medium Celery, raw
- 1 tbsp chopped Garlic
- 1 slice, medium Tomatoes, red, ripe, raw, year round average
- 1 cup Soup, stock, beef, home-prepared
- 1 cup cup rinsed solids Beans, kidney, red, mature seeds, canned, drained solids, rinsed in tap water
- 1 cup Beans, white, mature seeds, cooked, boiled, with salt
- 1 tsp, ground Spices, oregano, dried
- 1 tbsp, ground Spices, thyme, dried
- 1 tbsp, ground Spices, basil, dried
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 tbsp, ground Spices, pepper, black
- 1 oz Cheese, parmesan, dry grated, reduced fat
- 1 unit Whole Wheat Pasta
- 10 gram Tomato sauce, canned, no salt added
Instructions
- Take a large deep pan and cook ground beef on medium heat until brown.
- Add salt and pepper, mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add chopped onions, carrots, celery and crushed garlic in the beef and saute while stirring.
- Add remaining ingredients except pasta and cook for 1 hour stirring occasionally.
- When the soup is almost done, cook pasta according to the pack instruction, drain and add to the soup and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add parmesan cheese mix and cook until melt.
- Serve hot.
