Ingredients
- 1 lb Beef, chuck for stew, separable lean and fat, choice, raw
- 1 cup Beef Broth or Bouillon (Canned)
- 1 serving 5 fl oz Alcoholic Beverage, wine, table, red, Burgundy
- 1 cup Tomatoes, crushed, canned
- 1 tbsp chopped Garlic
- 0.2 unit Wheat flour, whole-grain, soft wheat
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 tbsp, ground Spices, pepper, black
- 1 tsp Oil, olive, salad or cooking
- 1 cup Pearl Onions
- 1 cup, pieces or slices Mushrooms, white, raw
- 1 tbsp Spices, marjoram, dried
- 1 tbsp Parsley, fresh
Instructions
- Season the beef with flour, salt and pepper and cook in a deep sauce pan until brown, use oil if sticking in the pan.
- Add stock to the pan and stir in wine, tomato puree, garlic and marjoram.
- Mix well and cover tightly to cook over low heat for one hour.
- Add vegetables and mushrooms continue simmering, cook until vegetables are tender for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and garnish with parsley before serving.
