This is basically a Korean dish that can be prepared at home easily and quickly. It essentially contains fried rice that is enclosed in an egg crepe.
As such the dish is quite flexible. For example, you can prepare this dish by using leftover ham or ground beef and then serve it with ketchup placed at its center.
You also have the option of starting the dish with the preparation of pork or rice. However, I prefer preparing pork first up.
This dish is extremely fulfilling. A couple of Omurice is enough to fill your stomach just before you go to the bed.

Ingredients
- 3.5 tsp Oil, sesame, salad or cooking
- 1 cup, chopped Squash, summer, zucchini, includes skin, raw
- 1 medium Bell pepper (green/yellow/red)
- 0.75 cup chopped Onions, young green, tops only
- 3 piece Egg white beaten
- 3 large Egg, whole, raw, fresh
- 0.5 tsp Salt, table
- 3 cup cooked brown rice
- 4 cloves Garlic, raw
- 1 cup, pieces or slices Mushrooms, white, raw
- 0.25 cup chopped Carrots, raw
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 spray , about 1/3 second Oil, PAM cooking spray, original
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce made from soy and wheat (shoyu), low sodium
- 2 tsp Spices, ginger, ground
- 1 tsp Soy sauce made from soy and wheat (shoyu), low sodium
- 227 gram Pork loin, Tenderloin, trimmed, separate fat and lean only.
- 1.5 tbsp Thai Chili paste
Instructions
- You first need to prepare pork. For this, take a small plastic bag and all the ingredients required for making pork.
- Seal the bag and allow the ingredients to marinate and keep it in the fridge for at least half an hour.
- Take a large nonstick skillet and spray some cooking oil in it before placing it over medium flame.
- Now add the pork mixture into the skillet and cook for a few minutes or until the pork loses its original color.
- Now remove the mixture from pan and set it aside for cooling.
- Now you can prepare rice by combining 2 tsp sesame oil, 2 tsp sambal oelek and 3 tbsp soy sauce. Whisk all the ingredients and set it aside.
- Take a pan and heat some oil in it under medium flame. Now add garlic and ginger and stir-fry for a few seconds. Continue stirring after adding carrot. Then add bell pepper, onions, zucchini, and mushroom and continue frying for at least 3 minutes. Now add rice to the above mixture and continue stir-frying for about 2 minutes. Cover and keep the mixture aside.
- Next, you need to prepare crepes. For this, combine egg whites, eggs, salt and 1 tsp sesame oil in a bowl and whisk well.
- Place a cooking oil sprayed skillet over medium heat.
- Then pour ΒΌ cup of above mixture into pan and tilt the pan such that the mixture uniformly covers the surface of the pan. Cook for a minute or so.
- If one of the sides of crepe turns brown, then flip it over and allow the other side to cook for a few seconds or until this side also turns brown.
- Repeat the above process until all the egg mixture has been used.
- Now transfer about 1 spoon of rice mixture at the center of each plate.
- Now place each crepe over the rice mixture and tuck it under the mixture.
- Serve immediately.
