Ingredients
- 1 cup Rye flour, dark
- 1 large Egg, whole, raw, fresh
- 1 oz Nuts, walnuts, english
- 50 gram Yogurt, Greek, plain, nonfat
- 1 tsp Spices, cloves, ground
- 1 tsp Spices, cinnamon, ground
- 1 tsp Spices, nutmeg, ground
- 1 tsp Leavening agents, baking powder, low-sodium
- 1 tsp Leavening agents, baking soda
- 1 tsp Oil, olive, salad or cooking
- 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp dry Coffee, dry, powder, with whitener, reduced calorie
- 1 piece Orange Zest
- 4 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit, grease and dust a cake tin with oil and flour.
- Dry roast the walnuts in a pan for about 1-2 minutes and chop them.
- In a big bowl add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, nutmeg and salt, mix to combine all the ingredients.
- In another bowl whisk together egg and brown sugar until mix, add yogurt, oil, coffee powder and orange zest. Whisk until blended.
- Mix the dry ingredients with the egg mixture, mix just to blend, add walnuts and stir the mixture.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared cake tin and bake for 30-40 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- When the cake is baked, transfer it to wire rack, let it stand for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm or room temperature.
