Ingredients
- 453 gram Cheese, cottage, lowfat, 1% milkfat, no sodium added
- 2 tablespoon Oil, olive, salad or cooking
- 1 large Egg, whole, raw, fresh
- 0.24 tsp Spices, pepper, black
- 6 sheet dough Phyllo dough
- 0.24 tsp Spices, nutmeg, ground
- 3 large Onions, spring or scallions (includes tops and bulb), raw
- 0.24 cup Cheese, parmesan, dry grated, reduced fat
- 2 tbsp Cheese, parmesan, dry grated, reduced fat
- 85 gram HORMEL Canadian Style Bacon
Instructions
- Set the oven temperature to 375 degree Celsius. Then blend egg and cottage cheese in a food processor until you get a smooth mixture. Now transfer this mixture into a bowl. Add scallions into it and mix well. Now add bacon, black pepper, nutmeg and Parmesan cheese and combine all the ingredients well.
- Take a pie plate and gently coat its bottom with little oil. Take 2 phyllo sheets and coat them with oil and keep them together. Now keep these sheets with their side hanging down. Repeat this process for the remaining sheets, but in alternating directions.
- Now start adding cheese mixture into the pie plate. Whilst you are doing this you need to make sure that the center of pie is exposed. Use little oil for brushing the top section of pie.
- Then place the pan on top of a baking sheet and bake the dish until the edges are brown. Then set is aside for a few minutes to cool down completely.
- Serve hot.
