Ingredients
- 4 breast bone and skin r Chicken, broilers or fryers, breast, skinless, boneless, meat only, enhanced, raw
- 1 cup Cheese, parmesan, dry grated, reduced fat
- 0.52 cup Bread crumbs, dry, grated, plain
- 1 large Egg, whole, raw, fresh
- 1 tsp, leaves Spices, oregano, dried
- 1 serving 1/2 cup Sauce, pasta, spaghetti/marinara, ready-to-serve, low sodium
- 1 cup, shredded Cheese, mozzarella, nonfat
- 2 tablespoon Oil, olive, salad or cooking
Instructions
- In a bowl, beat egg and a little salt.
- Combine breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese and oregano in a bowl.
- Dip the chicken into the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumbs.
- Warm oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken and cook about 3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- Spoon 1 tbsp sauce over each piece of chicken and top each with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake until cheese is melted.
