These high protein pesto tuna wraps are good for those who want to increase their protein intake by real food. They are quickly prepared meal option if you are running short of time to make a lavish meal for yourself. Very flexible preparation, you can even make them in the morning or for the lunch box as a take out. Pesto tuna wraps are tasty and handy enough to enjoy when you are in a mood for a healthy snacks in the evening.
If you don’t like tuna then substitute it with cooked ground beef, turkey and chicken. Even Nutrella (crushed soybean nuggets) is also a good substitute for tuna in this recipe. Although tuna does not taste bland in this preparation as we are going to mix it with some wonderful sauce and ingredients.

Ingredients
- 1 oz Fish, tuna, white, canned in water, without salt, drained solids
- 1 piece Whole wheat tortillas
- 2 leaf, large Lettuce, iceberg (includes crisphead types), raw
- 1 cherry Tomatoes, red, ripe, raw, year round average
- 1 tbsp chopped Onions, raw
- 10 gram Pesto, red or green
- 1 tbsp Mayonnaise, low sodium, low calorie or diet
Instructions
- Drain tuna and transfer to a bowl.
- Add finely chop tomatoes, onion, mayonnaise and pesto sauce. Mix all the ingredients together.
- Pick large lettuce leaves and soak it in cold water, drain and pat dry with kitchen towel.
- Spread a tortilla sheet on the work surface, place the lettuce leaves over it.
- Spoon the tuna mixture over the lettuce leave; fill as much as you want.
- Now tightly roll the tortilla sheet along with lettuce leaves to form a nice wrap or roll.
- Cut from the center and serve warm.
- Add finely chop tomatoes, onion, mayonnaise and pesto sauce. Mix all the ingredients until combine.
