Ingredients
- 1 1 oz Penne Pasta
- 1 cup Peas, green, frozen, cooked, boiled, drained, with salt
- 1 large Egg, white, raw, fresh
- 1 cup Milk, reduced fat, fluid, 2% milkfat, without added vitamin A and vitamin D
- 1 cubic inch Turkey ham, sliced, extra lean, prepackaged or deli-sliced
- 1 oz Cheese, low fat, cheddar or colby
- 1 oz Cheese, parmesan, dry grated, reduced fat
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 tbsp, ground Spices, pepper, black
- 1 gram Plain Butter
Instructions
- Take a large sauce pan and cook penne pasta according to the package instruction. Drain and set a side for later use.
- Meanwhile whisk together milk, egg white, salt and pepper in a bowl.
- Take a non stick pan and melt the butter. Add the milk mixture, diced ham and cheese (both cheddar & parmesan). Then cook it over low heat while stirring continuously.
- Cook until thick for about 7-8 minutes, and add penne and green peas.
- Serve warm or cold as you like.
