Ingredients
- 1 gram cannelloni beans
- 1 tbsp chopped Garlic
- 1 tsp Oil, olive, salad or cooking
- 1 fl oz Lemon juice, raw
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 tbsp Spices, pepper, black
- 2 slice thin Whole Wheat Bread
- 1 gram Thyme, fresh
- 1 wedge yields Lemon juice, raw
Instructions
- Wash the beans, cover with fresh water and bring to the boil. Turn down the heat and simmer for 30 minutes until soft and tender. Drain and keep aside to cool.
- When cooled, transfer to a food processor, add garlic, oil, lemon juice, pepper and salt. Blend until forming a smooth paste.
- Heat a grill pan and toast the bread from both sides, spoon the bean paste on the bread and lay a thick layer.
- Sprinkle thyme leaves and serve with a lemon wedge.
