Ingredients
- 1 cup Milk, whole, 3.25% milkfat, without added vitamin A and vitamin D
- 0.5 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1.5 cup Milk, buttermilk, fluid, cultured, reduced fat
- 2 large Egg, whole, raw, fresh
- 8 tbsp Plain Flour
- 2 steak Beef, loin, top sirloin cap steak, boneless, separable lean and fat, trimmed to 1/8" fat, select, raw
Instructions
- Add buttermilk and beaten eggs in a bowl and then season it lightly with salt and pepper.
- Soak steaks in it for at least 20 minutes and then drain out the liquid.
- Now season the flour with salt and pepper. Dip the soaked steaks in the flour to make sure they are fully coated with the flour.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium flame.
- Now start frying the steaks for at least 8 minutes on each side so that they become crisp and golden brown. Once fried, place the steaks on paper towels so that excess oil is drained out.
- Except for 3 tbsp of pan drippings, drain out all the remaining oil. Whisk milk in over medium flame so that the gravy thickens.
- Season it with salt and pepper according to taste. Also pour the gravy over the steaks and serve immediately.
