Ingredients
- 1 steak Beef, loin, top sirloin cap steak, boneless, separable lean and fat, trimmed to 1/8" fat, select, raw
- 1 tbsp Oil, vegetable, Natreon canola, high stability, non trans, high oleic (70%)
- 1 medium Egg, whole, raw, fresh
- 10 gram Cornstarch
- 10 gram Wheat flour, whole-grain, soft wheat
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 tbsp, ground Spices, pepper, black
- 10 gram Water
Instructions
- Heat 1 cup of canola oil in a wok for deep frying.
- Cut the beef steak in ½ inch thick slices with the help of a sharp knife.
- Prepare the batter by whisking together corn starch, flour, egg, salt and pepper.
- Add ½ cup of water little by little just to make a thin batter.
- Toss the beef slices in the batter and deep fry until crispy.
- Try to drain all the oil while removing from the wok and set them on a paper napkin to absorb excess oil.
- Serve with tomato sauce.
