Ingredients
- 1 spray , about 1/3 second Oil, PAM cooking spray, original
- 3 cloves Garlic, raw
- 2 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 tablespoon Oil, olive, salad or cooking
- 1 dash Salt, table
- 1 dash Spices, pepper, black
- 1 sprigs Coriander (cilantro) leaves, raw
- 4 pita, large Bread, pita, whole-wheat
- 1 tsp Fresh ginger
- 2 cup, chopped or sliced Tomatoes, red, ripe, raw, year round average
- 1 cup Mixed Salad Greens
- 0.24 1/2 cup balsamic vinaigrette
- 0.24 cup Yogurt, plain, low fat, 12 grams protein per 8 ounce
- 0.76 cup, shredded Cheese, mozzarella, nonfat
- 0.52 unit Onion, red, raw
- 2 1 tbsp Heavy whipped cream
- 3 4 Oz Skinless Boneless Chicken Breast
Instructions
- Cut chicken horizontally in half. Then mix it with garam masala and yogurt. Keep the mixture aside for 2 minutes.
- Spread some aluminum foil in a baking tray coat it with cooking spray. Place the chicken on it.
- Sprinkle it with salt and cook 5 minutes on either side.
- Place a skillet over medium flame. In the meantime, pulse tomatoes using a mini chopper to get a smooth mixture.
- Add oil, garlic, red pepper, ginger and garam masala in a pan and cook for a minute. Now add tomatoes and simmer 4 minutes.
- Add cream and salt and continue cooking for 1 minute.
- Cut chicken into pieces and add toss them in a pan.
- Place pitas on a baking sheet and bake both its sides for a minute.
- Add ½ cup chicken over each pita and then top it with cheese and onion. Grill for close to 2 minutes.
- Sprinkle with cilantro and serve immediately.
